Piceance Basin Field Trip—SOLD OUT

Sunday’s field trip will provide a broad overview of the geologic framework for oil shale and natural gas resources in the Piceance Basin of northwest Colorado. Learn more.
Welcome Reception
1800–2000, Exhibit Hall, Upper Level
The Welcome Reception opens ATCE’s exhibition of the latest technologies and products on the market. The reception gives attendees a chance to network with other leading E&P professionals while enjoying complimentary food and beverages. Admittance is included with conference registration.
Monday, 22 September
25-Year Club Breakfast—SOLD OUT
0700–0800, Room 501, Street Level
New for 2008, the 25-Year Club will have a breakfast and presentation by Dennis Gregg, a highly-honored, distinguished member and 1986 SPE president. Gregg will briefly discuss the importance of 25-year members and Legion of Honor members to SPE. The 25-Year Club was established for the benefit of those SPE members with 25 years or more of continuous membership.
Chairman’s Luncheon

ATCE 2008 General Chairperson Andrew Gould will share his insights on the E&P industry. Separate ticket purchase required.
Annual Reception and Banquet
1830–2300, Four Seasons Ballroom Foyer and Four Seasons Ballroom 2–4
Prior to the Annual Banquet, all banquet attendees are invited to gather in the foyer of the ballroom for a reception. The Annual Banquet recognizes distinguished SPE members who have made significant contributions to the oil and gas industry. Separate ticket purchase required.

College and University Alumni Activities
Various times and locations
Many colleges and universities have scheduled special alumni activities to coincide with ATCE 2008. These events provide excellent opportunities for attendees to visit and get reacquainted with old friends and to build new relationships with other professionals. Some alumni events require tickets.
JPT Legends of Drilling Reception

Please join us at the JPT Legends of Drilling reception as we honor the contributions of those who were pioneers in the first generation of drilling technology. We encourage attendees to attend this reception to hear the legends’ stories and be inspired to invent new technologies and solutions that benefit the industry.

SPE State of the Society Address and Ramadan Iftar Dinner

SPE “Run for the Future” 5K Fun Run/Walk
0700–0800, The race starts at City Park. See the Fun Run shuttle schedule.
Whether you run or walk, participating in the “Run for the Future” directly impacts the careers of future petroleum engineers and helps strengthen the future of SPE. Proceeds from this event benefit the Gus Archie Memorial Scholarship Fund. Separate ticket purchase required.
Teacher's Energy Education Workshop

Denver-area Educators: You are invited to take part in a unique teachers' workshop. Learn how to energize your classroom and teach energy topics in a fun and exciting way! The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project will present the workshop for elementary, middle and high school science teachers at SPE's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition.
