Registration and breakfast

Register, pick up supplies, and network during breakfast. Meet fellow participants and learn about the program.

8 a.m.

Welcome and introduction to program

Welcome addresses. Review goals and objectives for the workshop and begin planning ways to use materials and energy training in your school.

8:15 a.m.

Keynote address

9:15 a.m.

Exhibition tour

Industry professionals will lead small groups of educators on a tour of some of the world’s leading offshore oil and natural gas technology exhibitions.

11:30 a.m.

Lunch (provided)

12:15 p.m.

Grade-level breakout sessions

Sessions are offered for elementary and middle/ high school groups, providing an opportunity to learn how to make the science of energy fun and interesting for the age groups that you teach. Get hands-on activities and tips from The NEED Project instructors on incorporating energy into the classroom.

2:30 p.m.

Closing program

Complete evaluations and receive professional development certificates for participation. Teachers will receive a variety of free instructional materials to take back to the classroom.
