Full and 1-day paid attendees can pick-up a complimentary conference bag in the registration area. You will need your ticket, which is included with your conference badge, to pick up a bag.
A variety of concessions will be available throughout the exhibit halls. For information on dining out in San Antonio, stop by the Information Center located in the east main lobby entrance or visit the Creative Dining & Entertainment booth in the registration area for help with reservations.

SPE is offering free wireless internet access in the meeting rooms and lobbies of the convention center. The SSID for the wireless access is ATCE2012. This free wireless access will not be available on the exhibit floor, because it will interfere with the higher band wireless services that are being offered to exhibitors for promoting their products and services.
The Knowledge Sharing ePosters are located in the Bridge Hall prefunction area, concourse level. An ePoster is an electronic version of a traditional poster presented on a flat screen monitor. It offers the added benefit of animation, audio, and video and enhances the visual experience to provide greater interactivity between the attendee and the poster author. Lost and Found is located in the SPE Headquarters, room 207A, concourse level.
Luggage check is available near the escalator of the west registration area, street level. The price is USD 3 per checked item.
In the SPE Pavilion, booth 3350 on the exhibit floor, SPE staff are available to answer questions about membership, dues, online mentoring opportunities, continuing education programs, publications, sections, and student activities, plus other SPE programs and services.

Proceedings distribution is located in the SPE Pavilion, booth 3350 on the exhibit floor. Proceedings can be picked up during exhibit hours, Monday through Wednesday. A Proceedings requires a ticket for pick up, whether included in registration or purchased.
The latest technical books are on display in the SPE Pavilion, booth 3350 on the exhibit floor. Attendees can pick up pre-purchased books from the SPE online bookstore or browse new titles.
ATCE offers SPE On Demand—an online portal to access the ATCE 2012 presentations, digitally recorded and available as audio synchronized to PowerPoint presentations. Following the conference, all attendees who paid the full registration fees will receive complimentary access to SPE On Demand. Other attendees may purchase access separately. SPE works with recognized experts in their fields to develop training courses covering a wide range of industry topics. Courses are held before and after the conference this year. Participants receive 0.8 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for 1-day courses. 1.6 CEUs are awarded for 2-day courses. Registration fees for training courses are in addition to conference fees and on a per course basis. Tickets may be purchased on-site, if space is available.
Faculty recruitment is an imperative for universities. Nine universities will be on site to share information about their programs. We invite industry professionals to learn about adjunct teaching opportunities. University staff will be present from 1000–1400 hours on Monday, 8 October and Tuesday, 9 October in the Park View registration area, concourse level.
All attendees are required to wear their ATCE name badge and badge holder at all times. Use of a badge by a person not named on the badge is grounds for confiscation. If you lose your conference badge, please return to Registration to obtain a replacement. No one under the age of 15 is permitted in the exhibits during official show hours.
As a courtesy to the speakers and your fellow attendees, please silence all mobile phones during meetings and sessions.
All SPE sessions are protected by US copyright laws. Photography and video/audio recording of any kind are strictly prohibited in the sessions and throughout the exhibition area.
We recognize the legitimate serving of alcoholic beverages in the process of conducting business and social activities. We also recognize that the use and consumption of alcohol carries with it the requirement for all attendees to consume those beverages responsibly and in keeping with our professional code of ethics and conduct. We strongly oppose the abuse and misuse of alcohol.
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center except in designated smoking areas.
One of the key components to the success of ATCE is the safety of our attendees and presenters.
Due to the popularity of some session topics, it is possible for overcrowding to occur in a session or meeting room. Should this occur, we must comply with policies regarding room capacity and limit admittance to a room that is at capacity. Please make plans to arrive early for sessions that you have a strong interest in attending. An overflow area is set up to accommodate session rooms that have reached capacity.
In the event of an emergency, SPE staff and/or convention center staff will provide conference attendees with any necessary information and instructions. Please refer to the safety information included in your badge for important details and phone numbers.
We take pride in ensuring that our meetings and events are accessible to all attendees with special needs. The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is equipped with elevators. Should you require special arrangements, please contact our staff at Registration or Headquarters.
