How much does the workshop cost?

There is no fee to attend.

How many students will attend?

Approximately 200 students will be selected to attend the workshop.

Is the material aligned to Louisiana science standards and objectives?

Yes.

Are there any lessons that need to be shared with students prior to the workshop?

Yes. Participating schools will receive short pre-lessons to prepare the students for attending.

What is the dress policy?

Wear school attire. Make sure comfortable shoes are worn for the exhibition tour.

Are there age restrictions for the students?

All students participating must be 15 years of age or older.

What time do we need to arrive?

You will need to arrive at 0830 for registration. Those arriving later may have a shorter time on the exhibition tour.

Do I need identification to get in?

Yes. Teachers and chaperones should be prepared to show photo ID (passport or driver's license) to pick up the conference badges.

Will you pay for my substitute?

Yes! Substitute reimbursement forms will be distributed at the conclusion of the workshop.

Will you help pay for transportation?

Yes! Schools using district buses will receive a bus stipend to help with transportation costs.

Where do we park?

One complimentary premium parking pass per school will be provided for bus parking. Maps and details about bus drop-off will be sent to participating schools.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes, a complimentary lunch will be provided.

If you are unable to attend, please e-mail us or call +1.713.457.6840. We would like to extend the opportunity to other high school students if you are unable to attend.
