Drilling and Completions
Covers topics from project management to design and construction to intelligent completions. Specializations are covered in Technical Interest Groups and two D&C-related technical sections, and peer-reviewed papers are published in the journal SPE Drilling & Completion.
Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Responsibility
Comprises core HSE topics, as well as research and sustainability issues. Specializations are covered through workshops, publications, and international HSE conferences held in both the US and abroad.
Management and Information
Topics range from information systems and data use to strategic planning to energy economics. Specializations are covered in Technical Interest Groups and two M&I-related technical sections. SPE Economics & Management publishes M&I-related articles and peer-reviewed papers.
Production and Operations
Focuses on topics including design, enhancement, monitoring, and management. Specializations are covered in Technical Interest Groups and peer-reviewed papers are published in the journal SPE Production & Operations.
Projects, Facilities and Construction
Includes topics of interest such as processing, flow assurance and subsea systems, as well as measurement and control, platforms and floating systems, and facilities operations. Peer-reviewed papers, as well as articles, are published in the Oil and Gas Facilities magazine.
Reservoir Description and Dynamics
Topics range from simulation and formation evaluation to unconventionals and enhanced recovery processes. Specialized topical coverage in the Technical Interest Groups, technical sections, global events, and the peer-reviewed journal, SPE Reservoir Evaluation & Engineering.
