Created in 1961 with just three lecturers, the Distinguished Lecturer Program is funded primarily by the SPE Foundation through member donations and a contribution from Offshore Europe. We also appreciate the companies that allow their professionals to serve as lecturers and the additional support from AIME. More than 450 presentations are offered each year.
For the upcoming DL season (September 2017–June 2018), SPE will provide up to two lecturers for each compliant section instead of three. The Board will review and reconsider the number of lecturers SPE is able to provide again next year.
