A Peer Apart

Last year, SPE created "A Peer Apart" to recognize those dedicated individuals who have been involved in the peer review of 100 or more papers. Members who commit to be peer reviewers make substantial contributions to the industry’s literature by helping to ensure that the papers published in SPE’s technical journals are of the highest quality. Over time, these individuals volunteer hundreds of hours to the society, making SPE journals a valuable resource for the industry.

This year, four individuals join the elite group who have reached the milestone of 100 papers reviewed, bringing total membership of "A Peer Apart" to 90 dedicated members. These individuals were recognized during the Editorial Review Committee reception at SPE’s Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition on 21 September 2008.

Errata

In the September issue of the SPE Drilling & Completion journal, paper SPE 105193 was printed with an error in two of its figures. Figs. 4 and 5 erroneously had captions reversed. In Fig. 4, "EMW From Downhole PWD" and "EMW From Cementing Unit" should have been reversed. In Fig. 5, "Downhole ESD From PWD" and "Surface Cement Unit Pressure" should have been reversed. The corrected versions of the figures can be found with the paper online in the eLibrary at www.spe.org/elibrary.
