SPE Honors Technical Paper Reviewers

SPE created "A Peer Apart" program to recognize dedicated individuals who have been involved in the peer review of 100 or more papers. Members who commit their time to peer review papers make substantial contributions to the industry's literature by helping to ensure that the papers published in SPE's technical journals are of the highest quality. Over time, these individuals volunteer hundreds of hours to the Society, making SPE journals a valuable resource for the industry.

This year, five individuals join the elite group of members who have reached the milestone of 100 papers reviewed. These individuals were recognized during the Editorial Review Committee reception at SPE's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition.

Call for Papers on CO2 Management
SPE Economics & Management

Are you involved in, or conducting research in, CO2  management? As one of the most important challenges facing the upstream industry today, this topic will be the subject of a dedicated issue of SPE's newest quarterly online journal slated for July of 2011. SPE Economics & Management wants your papers about the practice, policy, and strategy of managing CO2. Papers could address, for example, management systems developed to achieve emissions reductions, efficiency initiatives designed to reduce CO2 emissions, development of R&D portfolios targeted at delivering relevant technologies, and deployment of emissions reduction technologies, such as carbon capture and sequestration. Reduction and management strategies are increasingly important as resource awareness, and environmental responsibility, continue to shape the advances of the E&P industry. Share your successes, innovations, and research as we explore the methods of reducing our industry's carbon footprint in this special issue of SPE Economics & Management.

Papers exploring these topics should be submitted to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/speem. More information about the journal can be found at http://www.spe.org/papers/pubs/EMjournal.php.

Have a more technical paper about CO2 capture or sequestration? Consider submitting it to one of SPE's other journals. For more information visit http://www.spe.org/papers/pubs/coverage.php.
