About this Forum

The following exciting topics will be discussed in an open setting designed for optimal input from all participants.

Reservoir management is the key to harnessing maximum reserves economically through various depletion cycles with due regard to HSE. Given the subsurface and other business uncertainties, IOC’s and NOC’s may have different management philosophies. However, planning and executing data acquisition, interpretation and implementation of business plans remain focal points of most reservoir engineers (REs). Despite the awesome responsibility that the REs shoulder, they have not often articulated pressing needs to peers and management alike to advance adoption of leading-edge technology with production maturity.

This forum starts by addressing the tools and technologies required for long-term exploitation of reserves well ahead of time. To achieve both short- and long-term objectives, surveillance planning, data interpretation, and adopting change management are business critical. Introspective views of how the RE community can make a business case to bolster their practice will be explored by the leading industry experts in various sessions.
