Optional Visit to OMV Labs

Participants will be given the opportunity to visit the new OMV lab, built in 2007-2008. The move from the old building took place in October 2008. The lab is located within the premises of the OMV fi eld operations in Gänserndorf (40km NE of Vienna). It is conceptualised as an integrated upstream lab with groups working in geology, petrophysics, analytical chemistry of reservoir fl uids (oil, gas and water), chemical well treatment, high pressure technology (PVT and EOR) and material sciences.

On Thursday afternoon at 1330hrs a coach will be arranged to take you from the Pannonia Tower Hotel to the OMV labs in Gänserndorf. The journey is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

We will arrive at the labs at approximately 1445hrs and in groups of 10, will simultaneously tour the lab, each group starting at a different location.

The whole tour will last approximately 60-90 minutes and you will then be taken back to the hotel. Your arrival time at the hotel will be approximately 1730hrs.

Please note: The tour is offered on a ‘first come, fi rst served’ basis as numbers are limited. Please indicate on your registration form if you wish to attend this excursion.
