| Abstract | The aluminium industry strongly advocates the use of recycled metal. This paper will examine an integrated industry-wide approach to look at the recovery of material from shredded automobiles, from aging aircrafts stored in the western deserts, from demolished or deconstructed buildings as well as from packaging containers. Attempts will be made to assess how the different alloys used in these separate markets can be recycled in the most energy, cost, and environmental efficient manner. |
