The 2012 SPE Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition will be held in Perth, Australia. The event is hosted by the SPE Western Australia Section. As one of the most important technical events in the Asia Pacific region, it is an ideal opportunity to focus on the progress of the oil and gas industry across this region, an area known for its diversity, opportunity, and capacity for growth.
Mr. Vince Santostefano, Executive Vice President, Production, Woodside Energy Ltd., is the event’s Conference Chairman; Mr. Ralf Napalowski, Production Engineering Supervisor, BHP Billiton Petroleum Pty. Ltd., is the Technical Programme Committee Chairman; and Mr. Miles Ponsonby, Vermilion Oil and Gas Australia, is the Conduct Committee Chairman.
The theme of the conference is “Providing a Bright Future”, in recognition of the critical role the oil and gas industry is going to play in the future to ensure continuous economic growth and prosperity. Pioneering technologies have enabled the oil and gas industry in the past to provide affordable energy to meet ever increasing demands. This approach to master challenges by adopting innovative solutions will continue, if not flourish in the future and provide a multitude of new opportunities for individuals and society as a whole.
In order to ensure an exciting and relevant programme of events for the 2012 APOGCE, the organising committees have scheduled renowned speakers, a large number of technical paper sessions and four panel discussion sessions covering topics such as Gas Supply Competition, Challenges of Delivering Unconventional Gas in Asia Pacific, The Big Crew Change, and Technology in Your Workplace.
The conference will also feature a Workshop for young professionals, an Education Day and a Teachers’ Day.
A Technical Exhibition is planned in support of the conference to allow delegates to view examples of emerging technologies and state-of-the-art innovations. Booth space is limited, so please book early.
