Badge Pickup

All pre-registered delegates can pick up their badges on-site beginning at 0900 hours on 12 November, at the registration counter. Please be prepared to show photo ID (passport or driver’s license) to pick up your conference badge.

Visa Information

Prior to departure, please ensure that you have current travel documents and if necessary, an entry visa for Kazakhstan.

Delegates are advised to check the Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for up to date information on visa requirements.

As of 15 July 2014 Citizens of the U.S.A, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Korea and Japan are now permitted to travel to Kazakhstan without visas in the period from 15 July 2014 to 15 July 2015 for visits of up to 15 days.

The citizens of the following countries must apply for a visa to enter Kazakhstan but DO NOT require an official invitation for a single entry visa of up to 30 days:

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Sultanate of Oman

Please be aware, if your country is not listed above, you need to obtain official invitation letter arranged through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kazakhstan before to submit documents for visa. Please contact SPE for further details.

Copyright information

All SPE sessions are protected by US copyright laws. Photography and audio-visual recording of any kind are strictly prohibited in the sessions and throughout the exhibition area.

Cancellation Deadline

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the SPE Office in London. Cancellations prior to the 12 September 2014 will receive a refund less a USD 75 handling fee. Cancellations received on or between 12 September 2014 and 30 September 2014 inclusive, will receive a 50% refund. For cancellations after 30 September 2014, no refunds will be paid although substitutions can be made.  Please send requests by email to ctceinfo@spe.org.

In the unlikely case of cancellation of an event by SPE, SPE shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc. SPE encourages delegates to take out travel insurance when making travel and accommodation arrangements.

Admission Policy

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (“SPE”) and affiliates are committed to compliance with applicable law and expect the same of its conference participants. This conference is open to all technically qualified members of the public for a registration fee reasonably related to cost and intended to allow all eligible members to attend. Attendees are permitted to take notes or otherwise make a personal record of the proceedings and presentation.

All content provided during the conference shall be limited to "published information" and "publications" (as those terms are defined under applicable law). Further, no services or technical assistance shall be provided during or under the auspices of the conference. While neither SPE nor any of their affiliates are responsible for the content provided or actions taken during the conference by any speaker, exhibitor, sponsor, or participant, it is important to be aware that the provision, exportation or reexportation, directly or indirectly of goods, services, technology and technical assistance in support of exploration or production for deepwater, Arctic offshore, or shale projects that have the potential to produce oil in the Russian Federation, or in maritime area claimed by the Russian Federation and extending from its territory that involve designated entities and/or certain items may be prohibited under applicable law.
