Paper Submission Topics

  • HSE, Well Control, and Well Integrity
Our industry’s “license to operate” highly depends on our ability to perform flawlessly in these critical areas. This category will cover operational experiences and lessons learned in relation to HSE, well control, and well integrity.
  • Horizontal Well Applications
Horizontal well intervention applications have increased significantly in recent years. This category will cover a range of related operational experiences and technical developments to address the challenges of working in a horizontal well application.
  • Electric, Slick, and Braided Wireline Applications
This category covers case histories which illustrate operational experience from electric, slick, and braided wireline interventions. Also covers technical developments related to these applications.
  • Coiled Tubing Applications
Includes case histories which illustrate operational experience obtained with coiled tubing and the technical developments related to coiled tubing applications, including the innovative uses in well intervention operations.
  • Fracturing and Stimulation
Includes operational experiences and technical developments related to the increasingly prevalent tight gas and unconventional reservoir plays currently being developed. Includes multizone completion techniques and fiber-optic, telemetry-enabled coiled tubing use in stimulations.
  • Latest Developments in Intervention Solutions
This category will cover technology development which aims to enable and expand the arena of well intervention operations.
  • Improving Operational Efficiency
In a capital-constrained environment, one way to improve the bottom line is to reduce costs by increasing efficiency and making the most of existing resources. This category will cover operations that utilize traditional intervention systems in unique ways or apply redesigned surface equipment to maximize return on resources or minimize operational time.
  • Offshore and Subsea Well Intervention Operations
Offshore well intervention operations from platforms, jack-ups, barges, semi-subs, boats, etc. present particular challenges and opportunities. In addition, the activities and interest in performing well intervention on subsea developments has increased significantly in recent years.  The category will cover a range of related operational experiences and technical developments to address the challenges of working in the offshore environment.
  • Latest Developments in Equipment, Tools, and Materials
This category will cover operational experiences and technical developments related to equipment, tools, and materials utilized to optimize or enable well intervention operations.
