About this Conference

The Society of Petroleum Engineers and the programme committee is pleased to invite you to submit paper proposals for presentations at the 11th SPE European Formation Damage conference to be held in Budapest, June 3 – 5 2015.

Preceding the conference we will include training sessions to complement the key topics at this event, these will focus on injection wells, encompassing EOR, IOR and Produced Water re-injection.  We also propose some basic stimulation training to assist and encourage those new to the industry.

The main conference will also have an exhibition area where key industry companies may like to promote their latest technology interface with the attendees, and recruit new employees.  Technical poster sessions will be also held in the foyer of the conference.

The theme for next year’s conference is Managing Damage for Improved Recovery”.  Because we feel that formation damage, both near the wellbore and deeper in the formation, is a highly interdisciplinary topic (not only production technology/chemistry, but also e.g. reservoir engineering and geomechanics), we actively invite papers of an interdisciplinary nature. Also, because of the increasing importance of injectors in Industry and the many technical issues in this area, we invite proposals around injector damage and how this was overcome. Finally, we will be paying particular attention to papers that document case histories, as well as those proposed by young professionals, and there will be a reward of a trip to the Lafayette Formation Damage event for the YP that gives the best presentation in the eyes of the committee.

We look forward to meeting you in Budapest in 2015, and can promise you an exciting event in a lively location.
