Energy4me "Energize Your Classroom" Teacher Workshop

Energy4me, SPE’s energy education outreach programme, will invite 50 Khazak science teachers (grades 9–12) to attend a free, one-day energy education workshop. Educators will receive hands-on training by qualified SPE facilitators, listen to presentations from prominent keynote and young professional speakers. In addition, Educators will receive a variety of free instructional materials to take back to their classrooms. There is no cost for teachers to attend the workshop.

Activities

Presentation on Oil and Gas Exploration and Production 

A keynote speaker will present the role of energy in our everyday lives, followed by a brief question and answer period. Our invited young professional speaker will show teachers the decisions and choices that were taken in high school and university that has led him/her being a professional within the industry. 

Hands-on Classroom Activities

Teachers will learn age-appropriate energy experiments that can energize their classrooms through hands-on activities provided by SPE Energy4me Instructors. All activities will be translated in to Russian and Kazakh. 

Attend the Workshop

Space is limited—only five applicants per school. Registration will open in August and end on the 15th of September. You will be notified by the 1st of October via email if you have been accepted to attend this year’s conference.
