The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) is a non-profit organization which represented the key players in the oil and gas industry in Indonesia. Currently, we have 43 Company Members (who hold a percentage working interest in petroleum and/or geothermal rights within Indonesia), 118 Associate Members (which associated with petroleum and/or geothermal industries in Indonesia), and over 600 Individual Members.

Our mission is to be the voice of the upstream oil and gas industry in Indonesia and to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to promote the industry for the benefit of government, investors, communities, employees, customers and the environment.

The IPA also as a forum to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences to advance the development of Indonesia’s oil and gas industry. We promote continuing education and knowledge transfer to contribute to the national capacity development through technical courses, workshops, field trips and the annual IPA Convention.

Malaysian Petrochemicals Association (MPA) is a formal association registered with the Registrar of Societies in Malaysia. At present, members of MPA comprise of 24 companies engaging in the manufacture and trading of petrochemicals and plastic resins, as well as companies that provide services required by the petrochemical industry. MPA was officially formed on March 19, 1997 with the following objectives:-.

  • To provide a forum to discuss and resolve common problems of the petrochemical industry
  • To provide a focal point for the petrochemical industry to liaise with the public and government and to make recommendations on relevant issues
  • To advance the philosophy of Responsible Care, its implementation and compliance throughout the industry
  • To represent the petrochemical industry within Malaysia to interface with similar groups on international basis
  • To compile and disseminate information of common concerns and provide facilities for consultation and exchange of views between members.
