Message from the Program Committee Chairperson
On behalf of the program committee, I am pleased to announce that the SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference will be held 23–25 January 2018 in The Woodlands, Texas, USA.
The conference will showcase both existing and new hydraulic fracturing technologies, based on experiences from fracture-stimulated wells, and a wide application of global learnings.
A plenary session will be featured and two Legend Awards will be presented. The technical sessions will open with an extended, session-focused presentation. The Program will include over 50 technical papers and 15 e-poster presentations.
Areas of particular interest for the 2018 conference will include the latest developments in fracturing applications through the downturn, such as cluster-spacing, fracture SRV, and proppant/fluid volumes. The Program will also address optimization in unconventional fracturing, regulatory impact on hydraulic fracturing, and environmental concerns regarding hydraulic fracturing practices.
The program committee will be inviting your abstract submissions with more details on this page in February 2017.
Please plan to attend the conference and mark your calendar now for 23–25 January 2018.
Richard B. Sullivan, Program Committee Chairperson
