Keynote Speaker

Professor Erling H. Stenby
Professor of Applied Thermodynamics
Head, Department of Chemistry
Technical University of Denmark

Erling H. Stenby has been an active researcher and research manager for more than 25 years. During the period from 1994 to 2014, he was the Center Director of first the Center for Phase Equilibria and Separation Processes (IVC-SEP) and later the Center for Energy Resources Engineering (CERE) at the Technical University of Denmark.

He has co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers and supervised/co-supervised more than 50 Ph.D. students within applied thermodynamics, phase behavior, EOR, and CCS.

Erling has participated in several EU funded projects and has a strong international network of academic and industrial collaborators. As the Head of DTU Chemistry since 2010, he has also focused on recruiting and developing applied chemistry talents, e.g. within catalysis, materials, surface physical chemistry, and organic synthesis.

He has served on the boards of national research councils, private companies, and private Danish foundations.
