Message from the 2014 Chairpersons

Dear Colleagues:

The one aspect of the petroleum industry that has remained constant during decades of its pendulum existence has been the desire to optimize oil and gas production with minimum cost. The following four points are the impetus to refocus attention and efforts of the professionals of our industry to enter into a new and constructive technical dialogue:

1. The world's demands for an ever-increasing consumption of energy
2. The profound importance of energy prices to producers and consumers
3. Current developments in technology
4. World regional orientations and emergence in energy production

To this end, the Program Committee of the 2014 SPE International Symposium and Exhibition on Formation Damage Control is announcing its call for paper proposals. Generally, we seek papers on the cutting edge of technology, best practices, and case studies.

This symposium is an excellent venue to share your expertise, experience, and knowledge with your colleagues around the world through the exchange of ideas in technical and poster sessions, exhibitor presentations, panel discussions, and continuing education courses.

We hope to see you in Lafayette, Louisiana, next February during the festive Mardi Gras season.

With kind regards,
