The SPE/APPEA International Conference on Health, Safety & Environment in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production will be held 11-13 September 2012 in Perth, Australia at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The 2012 International Conference on HSE marks the first time this event will be held in Australia. It will be co-organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) with Chevron Corporation as the Host Organisation for the event. The conference theme is “Protecting People and the Environment – Evolving Challenges.”
Melody Meyer, President Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production Company, is the conference’s Executive Chairperson, while Tom Gouldie, Operations Integrity Engineer, Drilling & Petroleum Engineering, Santos Ltd., and Tom Norris, Chevron Regional HSE Manager, Chevron Upstream and Gas, are the Programme Committee Co-Chairmen. This event will feature an extensive and comprehensive technical programme covering the key topics of health, safety, environment, social responsibility and HSE management, featuring components including plenary, panel, technical and knowledge sharing sessions, which will strike an appropriate balance between emerging industry issues, best practices, and lessons learned. A technical exhibition will be held in conjunction with the conference, allowing professionals to see the latest innovative technologies and processes being utilised by the industry.
