Student Paper Contest

Advanced undergraduate and graduate level students attending universities in the Latin American and Caribbean region will take part in a student paper contest at LACPEC 2010. The original monographic essays submitted will cover hydrocarbon exploration and production subjects and related technologies, either on technical, economic, or environmental issues.
For students participating in the contest: The final paper (manuscript) and other required documents will be due 7 November 2010. The manuscript must be written and presented in English. Contact us via email or by phone: +57.1.301.505.0242 if you have questions.

Latin American and Caribbean SPE Student Chapters Meeting

For the first time, SPE International will have a special meeting for student chapters of the Latin American and Caribbean region. This event, “Student Chapters: an Experience that Deserves to be Shared," will bring together students and leaders from around the region with the objective of promoting a sense of community within the youngest members of SPE and the E&P industry.
The event provides motivational speeches from SPE and industry leaders, and offers the opportunity to share successful practices among the student chapters. Students will participate in a challenges session and will hear information about the student benefits offered by SPE International and the procedures to receive them. At the closing reception, you can network with fellow students.
