Message from the Chairperson

Carlos Morales GilDear Colleagues,

The  Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) invites you and your company to the 2012 Latin American and Caribbean Petroleum Engineering Conference (LACPEC), from 16–18 April in Mexico City, Mexico.

The theme of our 3-day multidisciplinary technical program is “Supply-Side Energy: Latin America Makes a Difference.” The goal is to emphasize that the region is aggressively developing new and existing conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources—safely and environmentally friendly and at a pace that has significantly affected the global energy market.

More than 200 technical presentations will be made and more than 1,000 delegates will be in attendance. The conference will also include a young professional workshop, student paper contest and training courses.

LACPEC 2012 is an ideal venue to showcase your company’s latest technological accomplishments, products, and services. Through exposure to regional oil and gas providers, regional energy officials, and international executives, you can sharpen your business strategy and leverage your goals.

This year’s conference promises to be a remarkable and beneficial 3 days for all who attend.

I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and with our colleagues in Mexico City.

Best Regards,
Carlos Morales Gil
