About this conference

HSSE is the very foundation of the E&P industry, primarily in drilling and well operations performance, which by default impacts safety and the environment if strict precautionary measures are not set.

Regulations are constantly being revised to ensure the highest levels of safety, security and protection to the environment while enhancing oil and gas production.

With the relentless hazards that the oil and gas industry face, the importance of MEHSSE cannot be challenged. The event combines a world-class technical conference with an international exhibition offering the opportunity for industry leaders to share ideas, exchange technical knowledge and to discuss current HSSE related issues and corporate social responsibility ideology under one roof.

The previous MEHSSE events which took place in Doha, Qatar in 2008 and Manama, Bahrain in 2010, were both regarded as outstanding, making 2011 MEHSSE a must attend, HSE landmark event in the region.

The sixth SPE Middle East Health, Safety, Security and Environment Conference and Exhibition (MEHSSE), organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers is a highly focused event that will discuss all aspects related to HSE in the oil and gas industry, including HSE regulations, behavioural safety, social responsibility, HSE management, security, environment, health and major technical developments in the field.

The event will deal with technical, economical and procedural challenges related to this increasingly critical discipline.

Who Will Attend MEHSSE?

Delegates and visitors of MEHSSE are international oil and gas professionals, primarily from the Middle East, Asia and Europe, including:

  • Senior decision makers who seek information about optimising their operations
  • Industry leaders from operating companies who are on a lookout for new technological advancements that will help them in redeveloping existing fields
  • Operators, drilling, reservoir and HSE management professionals and personnel involved in oil and gas development projects
  • HSE engineering staff and management involved in safety procedures and environmental regulation compliance
  • Consultants that advise clients on current industry standards in oil and gas developments
  • Suppliers who provide equipment and business development managers who would look at pursuing oil and gas business opportunities
