The Rocky Mountain region of North America has become synonymous with unconventional oil and tight gas operations. From coalbed methane drilling and completions, to hydraulic fracturing, to shale drilling, the area has spawned a wealth of new technology and innovation.
This conference offers a full range of topics on interdisciplinary work, and provides a platform to discuss solutions to the challenges faced by the diverse set of operators in the Rocky Mountain region. Recent advances in petroleum engineering technology for tight gas reservoirs, horizontal drilling and completion in oil reservoirs, coal bed methane completions, the development of shale reservoirs, and others have resulted in tremendous increases in oil and gas recovery. Many of these technological advances are currently being implemented with great success in the Rocky Mountain region, and are being exported throughout the world.
