Geologic Storage Resources Management System

In March 2016, the SPE Board approved moving forward with work on a draft Geologic Storage Resources Management System (SRMS) by a subcommittee of the Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage Technical Section (CCUS). The subcommittee has completed a draft which establishes technically-based capacity and resources evaluation standards.

While ideally, national reporting and regulatory disclosure agencies would reference these standards, they do not replace those currently required by these agencies. The authors encourage you to critically review the proposed system posted below and submit comments representing your organization’s consolidated opinion by 31 May 2017.

To participate in this public comment period, please send your name, company name, and detailed comments to ogr@spe.org.
