Geologic Storage Resources Management System
In March 2016, the SPE Board approved moving forward with work on a draft Geologic Storage Resources Management System (SRMS) by a subcommittee of the Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage Technical Section (CCUS). The subcommittee has completed a draft which establishes technically-based capacity and resources evaluation standards.
While ideally, national reporting and regulatory disclosure agencies would reference these standards, they do not replace those currently required by these agencies.
The public comment period for this document ended on 31 May 2017 and the authors are revising the document accordingly.
Once approved by the SPE Board, the final document will be published and posted to this page.
