Step One

You must confirm that you meet the qualifications for SPE membership:

I am employed in work related to the petroleum industry AND have one of the following:

  1. A university degree equivalent to a 4-year Bachelors degree in engineering or basic or applied sciences
  2. A 2-year science or engineering degree or a 4-year degree in a field other than science or engineering
  3. 6 years of active practice in support of petroleum engineering or in the application of science to the petroleum industry.

Select ‘Qualify’ to continue or ‘Don’t Qualify’ to cancel.

After you qualify, you will enter your primary email to determine if you have an account associated with that email. If you do not, simply choose the "New User Registration."

You must complete the entire process, including payment, for your membership to be processed. The SPE membership year is January through December. Members joining after 1 September pay for next year's dues and receive the remaining months of the current year at no additional cost. Please note that 5% of your dues is allocated to your subscription to the Journal of Petroleum Technology and is not deductible or refundable. SPE membership dues and fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
