Charles F. Boyette, SPE, was promoted to executive vice president and added to the executive management team at DeGolyer and MacNaughton (D&M). He joined D&M in 1982 and has more than 30 years’ experience in evaluating and appraising oil and gas properties. In his new role, he will focus on D&M operations in central Europe and Asia. He will also transition into being the company’s primary US Securities and Exchange Commission compliance expert. Boyette earned a BS degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and earned an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.
John Donachie, SPE, was appointed managing director for Omega Completion Technology, headquartered in Aberdeen, Scotland. He previously served as corporate development manager for Omega. From 2006 through mid-2012, Donachie was vice president with Simmons & Company International, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the energy sector. He was a petroleum engineering consultant with Helix-RDS during 2005–06 and held various technical and commercial positions with Schlumberger from 2000 through 2005. From 1997 through 2000, Donachie was a completions and artificial lift engineer with Camco Products & Services, focused on the provision of completion tools and services to the international market. He earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Aberdeen. Donachie served on the SPE International Board of Directors as North Sea Regional Director from 2007 until 2010.
John D. Gass, SPE, was appointed to Suncor Energy’s board of directors. He is a former vice president at Chevron Corporation and former president of Chevron Gas and Midstream, positions he held from 2003 until his retirement in 2012. Gass has extensive international experience, having served in a diverse series of operations positions in the oil and gas industry with increasing responsibility throughout his career. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gass serves as a director of Southwestern Energy and Weatherford International. In addition, he is on the board of visitors for the Vanderbilt School of Engineering and the advisory board for the Vanderbilt Eye Institute. Gass is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Sudhendu “KASH” Kashikar, SPE, joined MicroSeismic as vice president of completions evaluation. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Kashikar began his career with Schlumberger as a field engineer and held numerous international assignments in operations, sales, marketing, and new technology development. Before joining MicroSeismic, he served as vice president of sales–oil and gas at Silixa. Kashikar earned a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Poona and an MS degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He has authored or coauthored numerous technical papers and patents.
