Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Responsibility

Focuses on core HSE topics such as workplace hazards and employee safety, facilities and data security, community outreach, as well as research and sustainability issues. Specializations are covered through workshops, publications, and international HSE events held in both the US and abroad.

Management and Information

Topics range from asset and portfolio management, risk management, information systems and data use to strategic planning, R&D programs and economics.  Specializations are covered in Technical Interest Groups and two M&I-related technical sections. SPE Economics & Management publishes articles and peer-reviewed papers.

Projects, Facilities and Construction

Topics such as processing systems and design, flow assurance, subsea operations, as well as measurement and control, platforms and floating systems, and facilities operations. Also covers pipelines, flowlines and risers, and facilities operations. Peer-reviewed papers, as well as articles, are published in the Oil and Gas Facilities magazine.

Production and Operations

Focus on topics including design and optimization, artificial lift systems, production enhancement, production monitoring and control, oilfield chemistry and multiphase flow. Topics range from simulation and formation evaluation, geology and geophysics to unconventionals and enhanced recovery processes. Specialized topical coverage in the Technical Interest Groups, technical sections, global events, and the peer-reviewed journal, SPE Reservoir Evaluation & Engineering.
