Inaugural HSE Conference Coming to Africa in September

The SPE African Health, Safety, Security, and Environment and Social Responsibility Conference and Exhibition will take place 15-17 September 2014 in Mozambique. 

The inaugural HSE event will be themed “Protecting People and the Environment—Getting it Right for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry in Africa.” The conference, which was originally set for June in Kenya, will now be held at the Polana Serena Hotel in Maputo, Mozambique. 

Speakers will present current situation analysis, best practices, and research findings during the three-day conference. Most content and speakers slated to be included at the Kenya conference remain in the Mozambique program.

The conference will feature international and regional HSE experts to discuss developments, strategies, technologies, and case studies with technical sessions focusing on environmental, safety, cultural heritage, health, sustainability, and social responsibility challenges. 

Additional sessions will cover issues on key countries, projects within them, and what can be learned from past events and evolving strategies. 

The conference targets all aspects of the oil and gas industry, including service companies, regulators, civil societies, government ministers, and professional organizations assuring valuable networking opportunities.
