SPE Announces 2014 Section Excellence Award Winners

By SPE Staff 18 Aug 2014

The 2014 Section Excellence Award winners were announced 6 August to recognize SPE sections that displayed exemplary efforts in 2013. Each section was evaluated based on their technical knowledge dissemination, section operations and sustainability, member benefits, society and community outreach, and innovation.

To become eligible for consideration, sections were required to submit their annual reports by 1 June 2014. Submissions were evaluated by the standing committee on Section and Chapter Activities and divided into four groups according to their section size. More than 150 annual reports were submitted.

An awards presentation will be held in October at the President’s Luncheon during this year’s Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in Amsterdam to formally recognize the winners.
