Italian lesson plans available on Energy4me.org in time for ATCE 2010!
Energy4me is excited to announce free downloadable Italian lesson plans and activities on Energy4me.org just in time for the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Energy4me, the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ (SPE) energy education outreach program, is inviting 50 Tuscany-area science teachers (of students ages 12–18) to their “Energize Your Classroom Teacher Workshop” at their Annual Technical Conference (ATCE) being held 20 – 22 September 2010 in Florence, Italy.
The “Energize Your Classroom Teacher Workshop” is being held at ATCE on Wednesday 22 September and is free for teachers. A CD loaded with Italian lesson plans and activities, free admission to the one-day teacher workshop with lunch included are all a part of what educators will receive because of the generous sponsorship from ExxonMobil at the annual technical conference.
The CD educator will receive are loaded with the Italian lesson plans, classroom activities, hands-on experiments, ready-to-go classroom presentations, teaching aids, and speaker resources that all correspond with Energy4me’s “Oil and Natural Gas “book. They address topics including the formation of natural gas and oil, finding and retrieving petroleum, products from petroleum, and oil and the environment.
Energy4me is donating the “Oil and Natural Gas” book to teachers attending the teacher workshop in Florence. Books are also donated around the globe at teacher workshops and when a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers give energy-related classroom presentations to students ages 5-18.
Books are available to purchased or donate to teacher workshops for wider distribution. Educated 50 teachers and reach 1,500 students!
