Richardson Texas, USA (20 August 2015) – The 2015 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Brasil, taking place 27–29 October in Rio de Janeiro, announces the inaugural Spotlight on New Technology SM Award to be presented to FMC Technologies 28 October at Pavillion 3 in Riocentro at 1600 hours.
FMC Technologies receives the award for producing its Shape Memory Alloy Fittings for Subsea
Equipment. The criteria for the award was:
- New – less than 2 years old
- Innovative – original and capable of developing the offshore E&P industry
- Proven – through full-scale application or successful prototype testing
- Broad Interest – broad appeal for the industry
- Significant Impact – provides significant benefits beyond existing technologies
