Houston, Texas (25 September 2015) – The Society of Petroleum Engineering (SPE) is offering complimentary registration at its Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in Houston during Open Access Day on Wednesday, 30 September.

Complimentary registration enables attendance at technical sessions, the exhibition hall, and opportunities to network with other energy professionals. Additionally, attendees can increase industry knowledge and sharpen professional development during a special session, “Learn to Start your Own Business and Grow your Networking Skills,” with speakers J. Roger Hite, founder and principal of Inwood Solutions; C. Susan Howes, Chevron Global Upstream; and Peggy Rijken Chevron Corporation will moderate the event.

Registration for Open Access Day will begin online Tuesday, 29 September at 1400 hours and continue on-site at the George R. Brown Convention Center on Wednesday. Interested attendees can visit the ATCE website at www.spe.org/atce/2015/pages/general/registration.php

“The way to turn around the current downturn is to spark innovation in the upstream industry,” says SPE 2015 President Helge Hove Haldorsen. “By offering an Open Access Day at ATCE, SPE demonstrates to the industry that technical knowledge exchange and networking must continue even during hard times.”
