Congratulations to the 2013 International Award Winners

The SPE Board of Directors approved the 2013 International Award recipients at their recent meeting in Calgary, Canada. The winners were chosen from a pool of first-rate candidates. Seventeen international award committees recommended these winners to the board because of their outstanding and significant technical, professional, and service contributions to SPE and the petroleum industry. SPE President Egbert Imomoh will present the awards to the winners at the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in New Orleans. New Sustainability Tool

Helge Hove Haldorsen Richardson, Texas, USA (June 2013) –  The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)  has named Helge Hove Haldorsen, vice president of strategy and portfolio for Statoil Development and Production North America, as 2015 president of the international professional society. Haldorsen, who is based in Houston, Texas, will take office as president-elect on 2 October 2013 at the close of SPE’s Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans, LA, USA.
