SPE makes donation for landslide disaster relief to the Cruz Vermelha Brasileira

RICHARDSON, Texas, U.S.A. (26 January 2011) – The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)  announced today that it is donating US $5,000 to the Brazilian  Red Cross (Cruz Vermelha Brasileira) to assist in relief and recovery efforts in the areas of Brazil affected by recent landslides and floods. The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) has continued its efforts to establish internationally accepted guidelines for the evaluation of petroleum reserves and resources by heading an effort sponsored by five industry organizations to develop Guidelines for Application of the Petroleum Resources Management System (PRMS).
