The Texas A&M student chapter hosted a sporting clay tournament on Saturday, 13 October. The event served as the primary fundraising effort for this year’s ATCE trip to Anaheim, CA. The funds raised will cover a significant portion of the transportation and hotel costs for the 90 junior, senior, and graduate students who plan to attend the conference. The tournament was held at Gunsmoke Shooting Range in Snook, TX, and consisted of 25 competing teams. Teams were made up of three company representatives and two students in an effort to promote networking between industry and the students of the Texas A&M petroleum engineering department. The tournament was organized by petroleum engineering seniors Natalie Allert, Christian Click, Stephanie Currie, and Hunter Wallace.
