The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology started the year’s activities off with a painting competition on the theme “Energy Scenario – 2020”. The competition was held in two rounds. In round one, 16 participants were given 30 minutes to draw a sketch of their choice. All materials were provided by the student chapter. Participants were judged on their novelty and quality of the sketch.
Eight participants were selected to compete in the final round in which they had to draw on the given theme in a two hour time period. Colors, paint brushes, and some other stationary items were given to all the final round participants as a complementary gift.
The paintings were displayed in the institutes’ gallery and judged by five judges on various criteria. The top three winners were given certificates and prizes.
The event brought out the creativity within engineers and their views on the energy future. Keep up the good work RGIPT student chapter!
