The student chapter has been busy hosting the SPE North Africa Sub-Regional Paper Contest—which was a huge success.
In addition to hosting the paper contest, they organized two training days at Halliburton, and field trips to Kuwait Energy Company and Qaran Petroleum Company.
The Suez Canal student chapter also launched ECHO; an online magazine published weekly. ECHO covers several categories; including; IQ, Eminent Figures, latest technologies, and worldwide news in the form of blogs. Another accomplishment includes adding Petroleum Engineering for the first time to the Egyptian Engineering Day. The yearly competition allows petroleum engineering students to participate with their projects.
Congratulations Again Suez Canal Student Chapter—March Student Chapter of the Month!
Students, research scholars, and industry personnel are invited to attend the International Conference on Developing Unconventional Oil and Gas Resources organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras with the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the London School of Energy Studies. This event will be held 1-3 March 2013.
