An agreement for mutual endorsement has been made between the ARPEL 2013 Oil and Natural Gas Conference in Latin America & the Caribbean, and the SPE 2013 Latin American and Caribbean Health, Safety, Social Responsibility, and Environment Conference.

The student chapter has been busy hosting the SPE North Africa Sub-Regional Paper Contest—which was a huge success. In addition to hosting the paper contest, they organized two training days at Halliburton, and field trips to Kuwait Energy Company and Qaran Petroleum Company.
