Distinguished Lecture Program
New! Videos of selected Distinguished Lectures are now available.
The Distinguished Lecturer Program extends the knowledge and experience of
some of the industry’s top experts in all phases of the E&P industry. By
making available to every SPE section up to three lectures per year, the DL
Program has answered countless questions and advanced technology on all fronts,
technically and geographically.
The DL program has grown in popularity and importance from three lecturers in 1961 to today’s current slate of 40. These Lecturers are nominated by their peers, and reviewed by the Distinguished Lecturer Committee for quality, timeliness, and relevance of presentations. Many Lecturers travel thousands of miles to make a 30-minute to one hour talk to an SPE section. In all, some 450+ presentations are made each year.
