Section Resources
Many resources are available to section officers and members to maintain and grow their section. The primary resources can be found in:
- Section Operations Manual -- a comprehensive manual that outlines the responsibilities of all section officers and committees, provides useful forms that facilitate many section operations, and delineates the policies and procedures that govern section operations.
- Section Best Practices -- compiled from the annual reports of all sections, this bulleted list offers ideas for successful programs to disseminate technology, develop membership, and educate the public about industry operations.
- Section Websites -- building and maintaining a section website is easy with SPE software and hosting.
- Section Awards -- options are available to recognize past chairpersons or others who have provided exceptional service to the section.
- President's Award for Section Excellence -- learn the criteria and view information on past winners to help your section improve its chances of being selected. Remember that this award is based on the information in your section annual report (which must be submitted by 1 June)
- Aiding Your Sponsored Student Chapter -- suggestions from the Student Development Committee on ways to assist SPE Student Chapters
