Jeevan Anand, SPE, was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Pacific Energy Resources. He earned an MS degree in petroleum engineering from the U. of California at Berkeley and an MBA degree from the U. of California at Los Angeles and has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Robert Cornelius, SPE, was named Senior Vice President of Operations for Denbury Resources. Before this appointment, he served as Vice President–Mid Continent for J.M. Huber Corp.
Tim Davis, SPE, joined TAM Intl. as a technical advisor. He has 20 years of experience in the completion, production, and formation-evaluation fields and is a graduate of Texas A&M U. Davis previously worked for Baker Atlas.

Egbogah
Emmanuel Egbogah, an SPE Distinguished Member, received an Honorary DSc degree in engineering from the U. of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, for outstanding contributions to development in the energy sector in Nigeria and other countries.
Mark Jackson, SPE, was elected to the Board of Directors of Noble Corp. He currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company.
Howard Lam, SPE, was promoted to Senior Vice President of Ryder Scott Canada. Harris Ghozali of the Houston office of Ryder Scott was promoted to Vice President. In addition, Timur Baishev, Martín Cocco, and Jim Stinson joined the company as petroleum engineers. Baishev earned BS, MS, and PhD degrees in petroleum engineering from the Moscow Inst. of Oil and Gas. Cocco earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from the U. of Buenos Aires and an MS degree in petroleum engineering from Stanford U. Stinson earned a BS degree in petroleum engineering from Mississippi State U.
Wolf Regener, SPE, was promoted to President of Bankers U.S. and also will hold the title of Executive Vice President of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. He earned a BA degree in economics from the U. of California at Santa Barbara.
John Smaardyk, SPE, joined Wood Group Logging Services as Technology Development Manager. He earned MS and PhD degrees in physics from the U. of Illinois and holds a number of method and apparatus patents.
