Mark W. Albers, SPE, was named Senior Vice President of ExxonMobil. Before this appointment, he was President of Exxon­Mobil Devel­op­ment. Albers earned a BS degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University.

Lynn Babec, SPE, was named Vice President of Marketing for OpenSpirit. Before this appointment, she held numerous production operations and systems development roles for Halliburton Drilling Evaluation and Digital Solutions/Landmark. Babec earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.

   GeoMechanics International reported two appointments. David Bowling, SPE, was named Business Development Manager for the Asia Pacific Region. Before this appointment, he was Technical Director–Well Services, Southeast Asia Pacific, for RPS Energy, Malaysia. Bowling earned an MS degree in exploration geophysics and a BS degree in geophysical sciences from the University of Leeds. Tim Conn, SPE, was named Business Development Manager for Canada and the northern U.S. Before this appointment, he was International Sales Manager for Promore Engineering. Conn earned a diploma of engineering technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Steven Carter, SPE, has become a founding member and Principal for Eirô Consulting. Before this appointment, he was Vice President Opera­tions for Wellogix. Carter earned a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the Royal School of Mines.

Martin S. Craighead, SPE, was appointed Vice President and Group President for Baker Hughes Drilling and Evaluation. Before this appointment, he was President of Inteq. Craighead earned an MBA degree from Vanderbilt University and a BS degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

David D. Dunlap, SPE, was named Ex­ec­u­tive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for BJ Services. Before this appointment, he was Vice President–International Operations for BJ Services. Dunlap will be responsible for the company’s global operations.

Charles J. Summers, SPE, was named President of Caspian Energy. Before this appointment, he was General Manager for Kerr-McGee Oil and Gas. Summers has more than 34 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
