Corporate Social Responsibility

18-20 February
Abu Dhabi, UAE

Registration deadline extended to 10 February

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means treating all stakeholders ethically and in a responsible manner within the firm, the community at large, or the environment in a manner deemed acceptable to civil society. Sustainable development, as CSR is also referred, has at its heart, a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come.

Social responsibility stresses the need to balance economic progress and an increasingly higher standard of living with sustainable environmental care. Part of social performance is managing the impact of business on the communities and societies in which companies operate. Companies who are socially responsible, have a greater advantage in rendering their products and services more attractive to the consumer, making them more profitable as a result.

At a time when the oil and gas industry is under increasing pressure to meet the increasing global energy demand sustaining and integrating environmental and social considerations into business processes is increasingly seen by companies to make good commercial sense.
