This workshop will explore the legitimate multidisciplinary nature of managing horizontal or multilateral wells and maximizing their design, modeling, drilling, and completion processes. Experts will discuss how to understand and recognize multidisciplinary interactions and the critical roles for generating value for a project. You will learn about planning an unconventional well under a multidisciplinary perspective. Topics include designing, drilling, completing, and evaluating horizontal and multilateral wells. The presentations will go beyond the consideration of horizontal and multilateral technology to recognize that many disciplines have important roles to play in determining the success or failure of well development, from early planning to construction.
Advanced technologies that can be used together to define, characterize, and model unconventional wells will be discussed in this international forum. The presentations will highlight emerging and applied technologies in use worldwide for the management of horizontal and multilateral wells. This is a forward-looking workshop that acknowledges SPE’s multidisciplinary membership. Professionals involved in fields ranging from asset and project management to reservoir engineering, modeling, drilling, completion, and production will benefit from attending.
In this collaborative environment, you will interact with others, not only as professionals, but also as human beings who are working together, focusing mutual efforts on challenging projects, learning one from another, and complementing each other’s technical and judgmental skills.
