0700–0730 -- Registration and Breakfast

0800–1115 -- Technical Introductions

Industry experts with varying backgrounds will present case studies and provide insight into the technical and managerial choices made throughout a project. The presenters will focus on what the team had to consider when making decisions and why certain decisions had to be made. This session will set the stage for the breakout session that follows.

1115–1215 -- Team Breakouts

Attendees will be divided into small, multidisciplinary teams and assigned the task of taking a shale gas field from its inception through project conclusion using the limited information provided to them. To simulate the reality of working on this type of project, team members will have to make quick decisions to prepare their business model. This interactive session exposes young professionals to a variety of technical disciplines in a team setting, with a strong focus on participation and problem solving.

1545–1700 -- Team Presentations

A handful of breakout teams will be selected at random and asked to present their project plan to the group. The audience will have time to ask questions of the teams and compare their own project plan to the one being presented.
