One of the challenges young professionals face is the confidence to make decisions. This 1-day workshop integrates attendees with a team of peers from diverse backgrounds and requires them to make timely decisions that affect the success of a technically challenging unconventional gas project. The results of this exercise will be reviewed and discussed with a panel of technical experts.

Combining presentations and small-group interaction, SPE Young Professionals (YP) Workshops help those new to the industry develop necessary, nontechnical skills that are immediately applicable to their career. Improving their value to the company, attendees refine leadership skills, cultivate managerial potential, and build a network of colleagues. Because YP workshops are organized by a committee of young professionals, each workshop has a unique program tailored to the development needs of young people.
