  The 2007 system described in this paper incorporates best industry practice and provides guidance to achieve a high level of consistency in estimating, classifying and reporting petroleum resources with global application. The resulting document is a set of technical definitions, standards and guidelines that can be used to the benefit of all stakeholders with interests in the E&P sector
