Tourist Information

Please note that there will be a Mathez Travel General Information Booth just inside the entrance to the Nice Acropolis for information on-site.

Tipping

Tipping in France is not compulsory, but it is recommended unless you are dissatisfied with the service. The bill in restaurants and cafés often includes a 15% tip, which is referred to as service compris. If the tip is not included on the bill (service non compris), a 15% tip is typical. However, it is customary to leave a more generous tip in expensive restaurants.

Emergency Care in Nice

  • Dial 17 from a landline or 112 from a mobile for the police station.
  • Dial 18 for the fire services.
  • Dial 15 for the medical services, including situations where an ambulance is needed.

The currency used in France is the Euro (€).

Photography is strictly forbidden during any conference technical, panel, or plenary session. Attendees not adhering to this policy, may be asked to leave the session room.
